"It still feels surreal to say I've stumbled upon my passion in life, but it's true. 

I've felt discouraged thinking I would never find something I actually enjoyed or was great at, certainly not both. I'm sure some of you reading this have felt this way before. If you're lucky like me, one day, when you least expect it, it will all click.

 What did I want to be happy? Well, I didn't just want to, but I needed a job where I wouldn't have any creative boundaries. In which I could be organized and in control, and nobody would have to approve my ideas. Something that provided me with freedom.

Which I realized meant I either needed to be the creator or the boss.

​What I love to do is, sketch, sculpt, paint and create. I'm great with my hands and have always loved fashion and summer weather.

Shortly after backpacking Australia with my bestie, I had this incredible 'lightbulb' moment. 

I was serving at the time, so lots of cash, and lots of free time. I wasn't keen on any of the kini styles that weren't offered at the shops (and I am the QUEEN of kinis). I've always had at least two drawers full of options, so it was killing me not to have anything new for the season. The options available either didn't flatter my bum, were cheap quality, weren't trendy, and the ones that were, cost a fortune and shipping to Canada was outrageous! I wasn't about to splurge and feel guilty for buying just one set.

Like I said, your girl loves options, I needed to get a few.

So, I decided to get some swim fabric from a local shop and give it a shot. After all, most of the women in my family can sew, it should be in my blood right? Using a set I picked up in Australia as my 'template', I created my first hand-sewn kini. Once I made a few for some gfs, I posted pics online and the feedback I received was overwhelmingly incredible! I couldn't believe my eyes. I was beyond hyped that people loved my creations!

Right after seeing my inbox light up, I knew, this was it.

I get to spend time at the local beaches for inspo, sketching pieces to create, and bring them to life in my little apartment. I've made women feel confident and proud to be in their beautiful skin!

That alone is a reason I continue. Right here, is where I belong.

I've consistently grown with my techniques and designs through 1 on 1 lessons and a lot of practice. For all those who supported me the very first summer, I thank you for the constant love that kept me going forward. It's important to me that I provide you with top-quality pieces and killer designs! I am very proud of my pieces and how far I've come.
